Subject: A desperate act of faith

MATTHEW. 

And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched ...For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.

PROVERBS. 

The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old. I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was. Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth: When he prepared the heavens, I was there: When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep: Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;
